Trailhead, the start of a journey with unexpected turns ahead. This project turned into a family of products that expressed the more street style of outdoor trends. Built on Vans Ultrarange MTE3 rugged bottom with inspiration from Taka Hayashi’s AMZN TRL a high top style.

After some excitement for the AMZN Trailhead, it was followed up by a request for a fully weatherized version. MTE 3 Requirements include Gore-Tex and All-Trak Rubber compounds. I was seeing alot of excitement around No-sew Outdoor sneakers that lend themselves well to water proofing. I felt it would be exciting to use the layering that process provides to add value and separation from previous versions.
